This complete roof restoration was about more than simply installing new shingles—it was about addressing the underlying problems that were affecting the roofing system. The homeowner contacted Georgia Roof Advisors after experiencing active leaks around the chimney and rear slope, along with concerns about the roof’s overall condition.
During our inspection, we found soft roof decking, two layers of old shingles, improper roof penetration repairs, aging ventilation, and other signs of wear. To properly address these issues, our team first removed the existing roofing materials and exposed the underlying roof deck.
We then replaced damaged decking where needed, corrected problem areas around roof penetrations and the chimney, and addressed the ventilation system to help support proper airflow through the roof. Once the roof was properly prepared, we installed new GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Pewter Gray, creating a clean, consistent finished surface.
The result is a complete roof restoration that tackles the problems beneath the shingles while giving the homeowner a durable, refreshed roofing system designed to better protect the home.
